For every individual applicant, there is a credit score that affects the approval rates amongst loan applications. This is commonly known as a FICO score, named after the Fair Isaac Corporation, that compiles it. The score has a number of other significances associated with applications, not least the fact that they are used to set the interest rate on the loan.
